Dubma$hine, ‘nuff said.
By Gabe Gilker
The dubstep event of the year is finally here. On Nov. 5, the one and only Inspector Dubplate will be playing for his first time ever in North America in Montreal’s own Dubma$hine loft.
This night is sure to provide the thrills and entertainment that only one of the world’s grimiest DJs can bring. This filthy-beat creating genius from the U.K. will be tearing the bass apart on 3810 St. Patrick Street, showing any avid dubstep fan what real filthy dubstep should sound like.
“It’s Inspector Dubplate’s first visit to North America and it’s also our first show with a highly touted DJ from the UK,” Dave Brunelle, one of the founders/co-ordinators of Dubma$hine said. “I’m sure he’s got something special in store for us. I’m just hoping everyone has a fun/safe time. Inspector Dubplate in my opinion is one of the better DJs out there, technically speaking – his mixing is great.”
Having played shows all over the world like Liverpool, Belgium, Israel, Wales and many more, Inspector Dubplate has earned himself quite a track record and with countless mixes available to download. There is no reason not to turn up the speakers and blast the bass as you experience the most mind-numbing and ear-drum-bursting beats that Europe has to offer.
Also serving up more fresh beats throughout the night will be Risk, Vilify, Woblz, Orphan and Mad Motherfucking Bass.
“This one’s going to be a banger, probably the most hype party that Dubma$hine will have thrown,” Brunelle said. “Also, the fact that we have Risk, the live dubstep band playing, it will be a great opportunity for people to hear something different, other than just DJs spinning.”
Tickets are $15 in advance at Psychonaut, Adrenaline, Atom Heart, and Off the Hook. They will be $20 at the doors.
